The process

Fill out a survey

We will ask you questions about you, the role T1D plays in your life, and when you might be available for online meetings about once a month.

Tell us what matters to you

Rank up to 6 things that you want us to consider when matching you with others.

We match you with a group

Based on your answers, we find one or more groups for you. We want to match people who can meet at the same time, speak the same language, have things in common, and will get along well.

You decide if it works for you

You attend meetings with others and decide if it works for you. If you are making friends and finding the meetings helpful, great! If not, we will work to find a better match for you.

Research study

CommuniT1D is funded as a research study. We are studying how the program works so that we can improve it and help more people with T1D. To do this, we need people who take part in CommuniT1D to join the research study.

You will get an option to join the research study at the end of the sign-up survey.

You get the option to join after sign-up
Fill out a survey every 6 months
Every survey is a chance in a random $250 draw
Get reports of your responses if you want
Some people will also have the option to be interviewed
